Children’s Bureau 6th Annual Bowling for Children – June 16

Fundraising event in support of children impacted by grief, trauma and adverse experiences

May 9, 2016 – Children’s Bureau of New Orleans invites the community to its 6th Annual Bowling for Children’s Bureau fundraising event on Thursday, June 16 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at
Fulton Alley, 600 Fulton St, New Orleans, LA 70130.

Bowling for Children is a fun and exciting competition that attracts local companies including Entergy New Orleans, Liberty Bank, AXA Advisors, and many more.

“Children’s Bureau is the best kept secret in New Orleans! Our agency provides free services to low income families impacted by grief and trauma.” said Paulette Carter, CEO of Children’s Bureau of New Orleans.  “I am excited about this year’s Bowling for Children event and the new companies that we have joining us this year! This event will help fund the programs and services that have been cut tremendously by the current state fiscal crisis.  We need the support of community and local businesses and that of the businesses to serve the city’s most vulnerable youth.”

Children’s Bureau of New Orleans is a nonprofit community-based agency focused on delivering behavioral health care to underserved children and their families across metro New Orleans. Many of its programs focus on kids who have experienced or witnessed some trauma in their lives – often violent crime. Children’s Bureau clinicians work with children through the grieving process and teach coping skills and anger management.

Individual tickets for “Bowling for Children’s Bureau” are $40 in advance and can be purchased by calling the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans office at (504) 525-2366.  Tickets will be $45 at the door. Admission to the event includes complimentary food, specialty cocktails and beer. A full, cash bar will be offered, as well.
