Clinical Services
Children’s Bureau provides evidence-based counseling services to children and families. We have specialized training to support children and families impacted by a traumatic event, as well as those who have lost a loved one or witnessed and/or been a victim of violence.
- Licensed mental health providers deliver evidence-based treatment to children and families impacted by a trauma and/or loss of a loved one.
- Children’s Bureau provides individual therapy and treatment is weekly and lasts 3-9 months
- We offer services in the community by embedding care through strategic partnerships that concentrate staffing in settings where youth have high levels of trauma exposure:
- Youth-serving organizations (e.g., workforce development programs)
- Schools
- Child Advocacy Centers
- At this time Children’s Bureau of New Orleans is not able to accept referrals for evidence-based counseling services outside of those from partner organizations.
- We encourage you to seek alternative resources for services by contacting 211; MHSD; JPHSA; or a provider from the Center for Evidence to Practice Map.
- If you are interested in becoming a partner agency, please contact Children’s Bureau of New Orleans at [email protected].
Children’s Bureau’s social workers and counselors are trained in a variety of evidence-based interventions, including the 10-week Grief and Trauma Intervention (GTI).
